Andrew Nelson – President
Mr. Nelson started Trident Construction, Inc. in 2008 with the intent to fulfill his personal goal of becoming a business owner. As with any entrepreneur, hard work and dedication were qualities he inherently possessed, but it would take him venturing out on his own to achieve his full potential. Thanks to these qualities, the community now has Trident Construction to properly service their needs.
Andrew is a graduate of LSU where he majored in Construction Management. Based on his experience in the construction industry, which spans over 18 years, Andrew realized there was a need in this area for a service provider built around customer service and customer care. His vision was to mold his business model within the community, around the highest level of quality of workmanship and professionalism, without compromising his ethics. As everyone knows, 2008 was in the middle of one of the worst economic times in this country in recent history. He knew starting this business at this time would not come without struggles. His perseverance kept him focused on his long term goal of making his business successful and nearly 7 years later his business model has a proven track record. He has spent the past couple of years looking for the right people to be a part of his core team and today he feels he has also accomplished this step for the growth and future of the business. His professional personality in front of customers, his product knowledge and the strength of the Trident team has enabled him to have strong relationships in the area and in the industry which has created a successful and sustainable business model. He is proud of what he has accomplished, but is most proud of the good that the Trident Construction name means to those who do business with him and his group.
Jason Browning – Vice President
Mr. Browning joined Trident Construction, Inc. in October 2014 after being given an opportunity, by Andrew Nelson, President, to become a partner in a truly outstanding company with unlimited potential. Having studied engineering prior to beginning his path in the construction industry, the experience and training gained during his career and the values of hard work and dedication; are the education, experience and personal qualities that can be viewed as the foundation for what he has accomplished and who he is today.
Jason brings over ten years of experience in the commercial roofing industry and over ten additional years of experience in the industrial material handling industry to the organization. His past responsibilities and experience in the commercial roofing industry have included: roofing material manufacture’s technical and sales representation for Florida and the Southeastern U.S., contractor training, estimating, project management, specification writing, business development, new market development, new product education and implementation, trade show events, marketing efforts, contractor’s equipment purchasing and various other areas of responsibility within an organization. Prior to entering the commercial roofing industry, he was with a material handling integrator based out of Middle Tennessee. This company’s client base was at a national level which has had him traveling and working in nearly every contiguous U.S. state. He started with this company in the field installing and maintaining material handling (conveyor) equipment, moved quickly in to a supervisory position, later helped develop and manage new departments within the company, worked with a team on new product development (R&D) and ultimately was in an upper management and stock holding position before deciding to move in to another industry.
Jay Foster – Project Manager
Jay joined the Trident team in August of 2017 and has been a great addition to the Project Management side of our business. He brings 20+ years of experience in the roofing industry to Trident Construction and this has given us the ability to better serve our client base.
